Cablecast Closed Captioning Service Single Hour
Cablecast Closed Captioning transcribes a station's audio into captions from the cloud, with nothing extra to rack. It runs inside the Cablecast web interface on VIO and Flex servers at software 7.4 or later, captioning an event live as it plays out, a council meeting, a game, a studio show, or working offline through files already sitting on the server. Custom vocabularies cover the terms an automatic engine would otherwise miss: local place names, board members, agency acronyms.
This SKU is the single pay-as-you-go hour rather than a prepaid block, which suits a station that captions a handful of meetings a month or wants to run the service before committing to volume. Stations captioning regularly move to the 500 or 1,000 hour blocks, where the effective hourly rate drops. Hours are drawn as content is captioned, live or from file, with no separate hardware in the signal chain.
