Blackmagic Studio Converter
The Studio Converter is the base-end box for Blackmagic's PoE-powered Studio Cameras: it sends camera power, the program return feed, timecode, reference, tally, talkback and control down one 10G Ethernet cable to the camera, then breaks all of that back out to standard SDI and audio connections at the studio end. That single-cable approach gets most of the benefit of a full SMPTE fiber camera system at ordinary copper-Ethernet cost, without a separate power run to the camera position.
It has 2 SDI inputs and 2 SDI outputs plus a dedicated SDI monitor output covering 1.5G through 12G rates, 2-channel analog audio in/out with a headphone jack, and a built-in 2.2-inch LCD that shows the camera's return image and connection status at a glance. A second, separate Ethernet port handles control and firmware updates so camera traffic and management traffic stay apart.
