The ATH-M60xa is the on-ear model in the M Series, built for the broadcast booth, the edit bay and the DJ position where a full circumaural cup gets hot and gets in the way of a single-ear listen. It keeps the M Series tuning and the 45 mm driver, so it sits in the same reference family as the over-ear models rather than being a lifestyle spin-off.

The housings are closed to keep monitor bleed out of an open mic, and the pair is built around detachable cabling so the part that fails first is the part you can replace.
