Audio-Technica ATH-M50x ENSO Limited Edition Monitor Headphones

The ATH-M50x ENSO is a 2025 limited run of the studio monitor headphone that has been on desks since 2014, returned to the all-black finish of the original after years of colour editions. The earcups and headband carry custom engraving that reads as both a sound wave and the single brushstroke of the Japanese Enso circle, and every pair is engraved with its own serial number out of 5,000 made worldwide.

Nothing under the finish has changed. The 45mm large-aperture drivers run copper-clad aluminium wire voice coils behind neodymium magnets, covering 15 to 28,000 Hz at 38 ohms, and the earcups still swivel 90 degrees for one-ear monitoring and fold flat for transport. Three detachable cables ship in the box - a 1.2 to 3.0m coiled, a 3.0m straight and a 1.2m straight - along with a protective pouch and a 1/4-inch screw-on adapter.
