Ashton Bentley TX2 Table Hub
The TX2 is the half of the Ashton Bentley room kit that lives under the table, in a lectern, or wherever laptops actually connect. It takes USB-C and HDMI in with signal sensing on both, gives each input independent EDID control and selectable HDCP, and sends 4K 60 Hz 4:4:4 uncompressed video to the DX2 Room Hub over a single Cat6a or Cat7 cable of up to 35 m. That one cable also carries audio, USB and control, and it powers the TX2, so the table end needs no local supply unless laptop charging is fitted.
A scalable HDMI output on the box drives a local monitor or hands content back to a device at the table, and its routing is set in the built-in web configurator rather than by DIP switch. A network port passes the building LAN through to the connected USB-C laptop, USB carries up to 350 Mbit/s, and an ABNET port connects the Tablebox Touch Panel so a user can pick their input at the table. With the optional 24 V supply the USB-C input returns 100 W of charging to the laptop. Status LEDs report power, the DX2 link and firmware health.
