Audio-Technica ATUC-IRCU Infrared Control Unit
The ATUC-IRCU is the 19" rack-mount control unit for Audio-Technica's hybrid infrared discussion system, built for rooms that need the security of an infrared signal - one that cannot be picked up outside the room the way a radio signal can - without giving up the option to run standard wired units where cabling already exists. It carries the same 24-bit/48kHz DSP as the wired ATUC-50CU, with a 12-band feedback suppressor, automatic gain control, and per-unit mic gain and EQ.
One ATUC-IRCU can power and control up to 200 ATUC-IRDU infrared discussion units alongside up to 100 wired ATUC-50DU/IU units, and the same three conference modes - Free Talk, Request to Talk, and Full Remote - carry over from the wired system. It can be operated locally, through the Web Remote browser interface, or by third-party IP control, and because the infrared portion of the system keeps every discussion inside the room, it is a common fit for government, legal, and other security-conscious installations.
