AKG C314 Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone
The C314 is the newest member of the C414 family: a professional large-diaphragm condenser with four switchable polar patterns - cardioid, supercardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-of-eight - so one microphone covers vocals, overheads, room, and Blumlein or M/S stereo pairs. A very low 8 dB-A self-noise and a wide dynamic range keep quiet detail clean while the switchable pad holds loud sources in check.
A -20 dB attenuation pad extends headroom for close drum and brass work, and a 100 Hz bass-cut filter trims proximity buildup on close vocals. It ships with the H85 shock mount, SA60 stand adapter, W214 windscreen, and a metal carrying case; the matched pair adds a second factory-selected microphone for stereo recording.
