AKG C414 XLII Reference Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone
The C414 XLII is the reference multi-pattern large-diaphragm condenser, offering nine selectable polar patterns for exact control over pickup and room sound. Its slight presence lift and wide, three-dimensional imaging echo the legendary AKG C12 of 1953, which is why it is a first call for lead vocals, solo strings, and any source that needs to sit forward in a mix.
Three switchable attenuation levels and three bass-cut filters extend its range from whisper-quiet detail to loud close sources, and a peak-hold LED flags even the briefest overload. All controls can be locked out for live sound and permanent installs. The stereo set pairs two factory-matched microphones with a stereo bar and case for coincident and spaced recording.
