Sony STR-AN1000 7.2-Channel 8K AV Receiver

The STR-AN1000 is a 7-channel-amplified AV receiver built for current sources: it passes 8K and 4K/120 video with HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision, with six HDMI inputs (two of them 8K-capable) and two outputs. It decodes Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and their virtualised variants, and Sony's 360 Spatial Sound Mapping creates phantom speakers between the real ones to fill a room from a modest layout.

Digital Cinema Auto Calibration IX measures distance, angle, level and frequency response of every speaker from the supplied microphone. Bluetooth works as receiver and transmitter, Wi-Fi brings Spotify Connect and streaming, and hi-res files up to DSD, FLAC and ALAC play back. A second zone runs over HDMI, IR repeat in and out is provided, and speaker impedance is 6 to 16 ohms. The chassis is 430 x 156 x 331 mm and 9.4 kg.
