Sony HDLA-3505 Large Lens Adaptor

The HDLA-3505 is Sony's fuller-featured large lens adaptor for HDC and HSC portable camera heads. Docking works the same way as the rest of the family - one touch, no cables, with power, video and control passed through the hot-shoe interlock - and the camera can be removed without taking the box lens off. Removing the front plate of the large lens support also lets the adaptor be used with a portable lens on a system camera.

What sets it apart is the operator surface. An LCD display panel on the outside handles menu-assignable operations and can show the SDI input signal, so a return feed or a sub camera can be checked at the camera position without a separate monitor. SDI input and through output terminals are provided for that external feed, five assignable buttons sit on the rear panel alongside the LCD menus, and electronic paper devices on both side panels display the camera number and can be linked to the camera's own indication, with tally on the side panels as well as the top lamp. Type-A and Type-C USB connectors are fitted. Note that the saddle assembly part for the HDVF-EL70 is not supplied and must be ordered separately.
