Sony ECM-66B Cardioid Lavalier Microphone
The ECM-66B is a miniature cardioid lavalier built for feedback-prone rooms, contoured for a directional pattern that rejects sound from the sides and rear while staying natural on-axis. A 7-gram capsule head keeps it unobtrusive on a lapel or costume, and the 130 dB max SPL handles loud stage and worship environments without distorting.
The standard ECM-66B carries its own two-way power module in the 9.8-foot cable, running on an AA battery or an external supply through a 3-pin XLR connector. The ECM-66BC is the same capsule without that inline module, wired instead for Sony's separately available DC-78 power supply, a common choice for installers standardizing on one shared power unit across several lavaliers.
