The VP64A is an omnidirectional dynamic handheld made for the field: interviews, on-camera stand-ups, and electronic news gathering where a reporter and subject need to be heard cleanly in noisy surroundings. Its frequency response carries an upper-midrange presence rise that adds crispness and clarity to speech, and a neodymium magnet raises output and improves signal-to-noise. Because the pickup is omnidirectional, it captures voices evenly on or off axis, so you do not have to keep the mic aimed precisely while working fast.

An internal shock-isolation mount cuts handling noise and a water-resistant grille protects the element outdoors. It connects over a standard 3-pin XLR and needs no power. Roughly 7-7/8 inches long, the VP64A ships with an A57F swivel adapter and a 49A130 windscreen.
