Shure SM86 Vocal Microphone
The SM86 is a rugged cardioid condenser handheld vocal microphone with an extended high-frequency response that a dynamic cannot match. Its tailored response delivers smooth, clear reproduction of lead vocals even under hard-touring conditions, and the cardioid pattern rejects off-axis sound to control feedback and keep stage bleed out of the mix. It is an equally strong choice in front of stage monitors and personal monitors.
A built-in three-point shock mount minimizes handling noise, and a two-stage internal pop filter reduces wind and breath noise at close range. The SM86 runs on 11 to 52 VDC phantom power through a standard 3-pin male XLR connector. It ships with an A25D microphone clip, a 26A13 microphone bag, and a 31A1856 5/8-inch to 3/8-inch thread adapter.
