Shure SLXD2 B87A
The SLXD2/B87A is the handheld transmitter half of Shure's SLX-D digital wireless family, fitted with the Beta 87A supercardioid condenser capsule. That capsule brings the detailed, airy top end of a condenser to a stage vocal, and its supercardioid pattern tightens rejection at the sides and rear to hold off monitor bleed and feedback. The transmitter carries the SLX-D 24-bit digital transmission that gives the whole system its clean, stable sound.
Pairing is handled by IR scan and sync, so the transmitter matches its receiver in a second without menu diving. Two AA batteries deliver up to 8 hours, or the optional SB903 lithium-ion pack reports charge status in hours and minutes. It comes in the G58 (470-514 MHz), H55 (514-558 MHz), and J52 (558-616 MHz) bands, and the capsule threads off so you can swap to another SLX-D head as the room demands.
