Shure BLX14R B98

The BLX14R/B98 is a single-channel instrument wireless system built around the BETA 98H/C, a cardioid condenser that clamps onto the bell of a horn or the rim of a drum to mic brass, woodwinds, and percussion without a stand in the way. The gooseneck lets a player move freely while the tight cardioid pattern holds gain before feedback on a loud stage. A BLX1 bodypack carries the signal to a BLX4R receiver, which mounts in a standard 19-inch rack for a clean install in a permanent or touring rig.

Setup is fast: one-touch QuickScan locates an open frequency and internal antenna diversity keeps the link solid over a range up to 300 feet line of sight, with up to 14 hours of runtime from a pair of AA batteries. The system ships with the BLX4R rackmount receiver, BLX1 bodypack, BETA 98H/C microphone, single and dual rackmount kit, PS24 power supply, and a zipper bag.
