The EW-D ME2 SET is Sennheiser's Evolution Wireless Digital lavalier rig tuned for talk: an EW-D EM half-rack receiver, an EW-D SK bodypack transmitter, and the ME 2 omnidirectional clip-on condenser. The digital transmission carries a full 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz over 24-bit audio with just 1.9 ms of latency, so a presenter, interviewer, or pastor sounds natural with no audible delay in the monitors. This version ships in the R1-6 band covering 520 to 576 MHz.

Setup is a one-button affair: press Sync and the receiver auto-scans the 56 MHz switching bandwidth for a clean frequency and pushes it to the transmitter over Bluetooth Low Energy. The ME 2 lavalier's omni pattern captures a wearer evenly as the head turns, which suits fixed installs and lecterns. Power comes from the BA 70 lithium-ion pack for up to 12 hours or a pair of AA cells for up to 8.
