Sachtler System 18 HotPod CF 14

The 1870S2 is Sachtler's 18 HotPod CF 14 package, built around the Video 18 fluid head on carbon fibre legs with a mid-level spreader. It carries 2 kg to 22 kg (4.41 lb to 48.5 lb) on a 100 mm bowl. Balance and damping are stepped rather than continuous: 16 counterbalance steps + Boost Button and 7 + 0 horizontal and vertical grades of drag on each axis, so a rig can be matched exactly and then repeated on the next shoot. Tilt runs 90° to -70° with 12 cm (4.72 in) of travel to find the balance point.

Set up it works between 74 cm to 175 cm (29.13 in to 68.9 in), and folds to 95 cm (37.4 in) for transport. The complete system weighs 9.9 kg (21.83 lb).
