Roland V-80HD Direct Streaming Video Switcher
The V-80HD switches eight live sources without asking you to pick a connector family first: four HDMI inputs and four SDI inputs sit side by side, and two of the HDMI inputs carry downscalers so a 4K camera or laptop drops into the 1080p program without an outboard converter. Processing is 4:2:2 (Y/Pb/Pr) at 8-bit. Three HDMI outputs and two SDI outputs are freely assignable, so program, multiview, and an aux feed for the room can all leave the frame at once.
What separates this one from a plain switcher is the RJ45 marked DIRECT STREAM. It pushes RTMP, RTMPS, or SRT to a platform or a decoder with no computer in the chain, and a USB Type-C port covers web conferencing when the show is a meeting rather than a broadcast. Audio is a 28-channel mixer with three buses, fed by two combo XLR / TRS inputs and an RCA pair, and monitored on XLR outputs and a 1/4-inch headphone jack. The chassis measures 396 x 254 x 103 mm and weighs 3.5 kg without the adapter.
