Roland Rubix24 USB Audio Interface
The Rubix24 records two channels and plays back four, which is the useful difference from the Rubix22: the extra output pair feeds a second set of monitors, a headphone amp, or a live send while the main pair stays on the mix. Two low-noise mic preamps sit behind XLR combo jacks with +48 V phantom at 6 mA, and a Hi-Z input takes a guitar or bass straight in.
A hardware compressor and limiter runs on the input path, so a loud vocal or a slapped bass is caught before it reaches the converter rather than after it has already clipped. Conversion is 24-bit at 44.1, 48, 96, or 192 kHz. MIDI IN and OUT connect a controller or outboard synth, and the whole interface runs over Hi-Speed USB. The chassis measures 183 x 165 x 46 mm and weighs 1.2 kg.
