Roland Rubix22 USB Audio Interface
The Rubix22 is the 2-in / 2-out member of Roland's Rubix line, aimed at the singer-songwriter rig, the podcast desk, and the small project studio. Both inputs are XLR combo jacks fed by low-noise mic preamps with switchable +48 V phantom at 6 mA, and one of them takes a Hi-Z guitar or bass directly, so a vocal and an instrument track together without a DI box in front.
Conversion runs 24-bit at 44.1, 48, 96, or 192 kHz, so the interface is not the limiting factor when you move a session to a bigger room later. MIDI IN and OUT are on the back for a controller or a hardware synth. Headphone monitoring is a stereo 1/4-inch jack rated 20 mW + 20 mW into 47 ohms. The connection is Hi-Speed USB on a Type B port, and the unit draws its power from the computer. It measures 145 x 165 x 46 mm and weighs 1.0 kg.
