Magewell Pro Capture HDMI One-Channel PCIe Capture Card (11040)
Pro Capture HDMI is the single-channel card in Magewell's PCIe line, and the one most streaming and lecture-capture builds start with. It occupies a PCIe Gen2 x1 slot, ships with a low-profile bracket for 1U and small-form-factor chassis, and hands the host a clean video device that Windows, Linux, and macOS software sees without a vendor plugin in the middle.
The input list is broader than the name suggests. The HDMI connector takes video with embedded audio up to 2048 x 2160, and an included DB9 breakout cable adds component, composite, and S-video with analog audio - which is what keeps older cameras, document cameras, and legacy playback decks in service instead of in a closet. Hardware scaling, color-space conversion, and de-interlacing run on the card, so the CPU stays available for the encoder rather than for format housekeeping.
