Kramer KDS-100DEC Open-Standard 4K AVoIP Decoder with Ultra-Low Latency
The Kramer KDS-100DEC is a 4K AVoIP decoder that takes an H.264 or H.265 stream off the network and puts it out on HDMI. Because the codecs are open standards rather than a proprietary scheme, it will also decode streams from third-party AVoIP equipment instead of locking the system to one vendor.
It handles dual streaming, carrying a primary 4K@30Hz feed and a secondary 1080p@60Hz feed at the same time, and latency runs around 40ms, which keeps it usable for live and interactive work. Predefined deployment profiles autodetect a KDS-100EN encoder so a link comes up without hand configuration, and channel-based routing lets an operator pick a source by channel rather than by IP address. Security meets HTTPS, 802.1x, and OWASP-10 requirements, and it integrates natively with Kramer's AVoIP Manager.
