Irix Edge Circular Polariser Filter

A circular polariser is the one filter effect that cannot be added later: it removes reflections from non-metallic surfaces, so water turns transparent, glass stops mirroring and foliage loses its sheen. The Irix Edge Circular Polariser also lifts contrast and saturation in a sky without touching the rest of the frame.

Both faces carry multi-layer anti-reflective coatings under a NANO hydrophobic and oleophobic top layer, in an aluminium frame. SR versions use toughened optical glass. It rotates in its mount to set the polarisation angle. Sizes here run from 55 mm to 105 mm; the SR line starts at 62 mm.
