Hiwatt Filter Fuzz MKII Black
The Filter Fuzz MKII is the production version of the Hiwatt Custom Shop's take on the classic 1960s fuzz: all-analog, with more gain and a wider frequency range than the pedals it is descended from.
A three-way filter, bypassable on its own footswitch, emphasises different frequencies going into the fuzz circuit, which is where the boosted gain, the wild octaves and the gating come from. The Thick control sets how much bass reaches the fuzz, so it either tames a wooly humbucker or fills out a thin single-coil. There is an internal bias control, and it runs on a battery or a 9V supply.
