DVDO HDMIFiber-1 4K60 HDMI 10km Extender over Optical Fiber

When the run is measured in kilometres rather than metres, copper stops being an option. The HDMIFiber-1 carries HDMI up to 10 km on single-mode fibre, or 300 m on multi-mode, at up to 4K2K 60 Hz in 4:4:4 across the full 18 Gbps of HDMI 2.0b. HDR and 3D pass through; CEC does not.

The transmitter adds a loop output so the source can also feed a local display, and an audio embedding input for adding sound to a video-only feed. The receiver extracts audio back out at the far end. Bi-directional IR and RS-232 pass-through mean a control system or a handheld remote reaches across the link in either direction, and EDID management keeps the source and the distant display agreeing on a timing. Both ends are compact enough to mount behind equipment.
