DOD Gonkulator
The Gonkulator puts a ring modulator and a distortion circuit in one box, which is what the 1990s original was known for and what this version keeps. Frequency moves the carrier wave the modulator multiplies against your signal, Ring sets how much of that modulated content comes through, and Gain and Distortion feed it into the redesigned dirt stage. The result covers bell-like clangs at one end and robotic breakdowns at the other.
A fifth knob sets output level so the pedal can be matched to the rest of a board, with an LED and footswitch for engagement. It is true bypass, uses 1/4-inch instrument jacks in and out, and runs from a 9V alkaline battery or an optional supply. The all-metal chassis measures 4.68 x 2.63 x 2.25 inches and weighs 0.62 lb.
