Cablecast LIVE Streaming Video Server
Cablecast LIVE takes an SDI feed and puts it on the internet as an H.264 HLS stream, licensed for one live stream. It is the piece that gets a council meeting or a game out to viewers in real time rather than after the fact, and it hands the stream to the same Cablecast portals and apps the on-demand archive already uses.
Encoding is H.264 with AAC audio, and delivery is multi-bitrate HLS that scales up to 1080p so viewers on a phone and viewers on a desktop each get a usable rendition. The chassis is 2RU with a 10 Gigabit network pair, and Cablecast REFLECT can take delivery off the station's own connection when concurrent viewership climbs.
