BirdDog BD4KHDMI 4K HDMI NDI Encoder/Decoder

The BirdDog BD4KHDMI is a single-channel 4K NDI encoder/decoder built around an HDMI workflow. It takes one HDMI 2.0 input and turns it into full-bandwidth NDI, or runs the other way as a decoder to feed an HDMI 2.0 display straight off the network. A 12G-SDI port and a built-in cross converter let it bridge HDMI and SDI gear inside one box, so an SDI source can loop out over HDMI without a separate converter. Every resolution up to 4Kp60 is supported, along with all the common HD formats.

A custom NDI silicon chip inside an aircraft-grade aluminum shell handles the compression, and a front OLED display reports what the unit is doing. An SFP+ port adds 10 GbE fiber for long runs, NDI Tally borders and a Tally output keep camera operators oriented, and the unit powers over PoE.
