Black Box VG-HDMI HDMI EDID Ghost
When a KVM switch, splitter or extender stands between an HDMI source and the screen, the source often cannot read the display's EDID and falls back to a default resolution. The HDMI EDID Ghost copies, emulates, clones and learns EDID data from the display and presents it to the source, so the picture comes up right on boot rather than after someone goes into the video settings.
It stores up to fifteen sets of EDID data, can show either the default or the copied EDID for the connected display, and supports resolutions to 1920 x 1080. EDID learning also stops computers from deactivating ports they think are empty. A rotary switch on the unit lets you select and compare resolutions manually. It works with Blu-ray players, games consoles, HD set-top boxes, LCD displays and digital TVs.
