AJA 3G-AMA 3G-SDI Analog Audio Embedder and Disembedder

The 3G-AMA moves four channels of balanced analog audio in or out of a 3G-SDI stream, doing the work of a dedicated embedder and disembedder in one compact box. Disembedding is always active, so the unit continuously breaks out four analog audio channels from the SDI feed. Embedding is user selectable on a channel-pair basis, letting you either pass the existing 3G-SDI input audio or replace it with analog audio brought in from the breakout cable. Analog audio levels are selectable to match line or broadcast gear.

Audio travels over a supplied breakout cable that presents the four channels as balanced XLR connections. The converter automatically detects the incoming video standard, from SD through HD-SDI and 3G-SDI, and configures itself to match. Setup is handled either by the on-unit DIP switches or across USB using AJA Mini-Config software for Mac and PC. A universal 5-20 VDC power supply is included.
