AJA 12GM Compact Mini-Converter

The AJA 12GM is a compact SDI transport Mini-Converter that moves signal in both directions between a single 12G-SDI link and quad-link 3G-SDI. It multiplexes four 3G-SDI feeds into one 12G-SDI cable and demultiplexes a 12G-SDI feed back out to four 3G-SDI outputs, so a 4K or UltraHD signal can travel a single BNC even when the gear at each end expects quad-link. It handles 12G, 6G, 3G, and 1.5G bit rates across 4K, UltraHD, 2K, HD, and SD, and can convert between SDI Level A and Level B.

Setup is handled on the unit or through AJA's free Mini-Config software over USB, which reports the current input and output formats and loads firmware. The 12GM runs on an included universal power supply, draws roughly 12 watts, and is convection cooled with no fan in a rugged 5.76 by 4.02 by 0.90 inch enclosure. It carries AJA's five year warranty.
