Audio-Technica ATUC-IRDU Infrared Discussion Unit
The ATUC-IRDU is the tabletop discussion unit for Audio-Technica's ATUC-IR hybrid infrared system, sized for two seats at a shared table. Each side gets its own request-to-talk/mute button with an indicator LED and its own 3.5 mm headphone jack with independent volume control, so two delegates can share a unit without stepping on each other's settings.
Because the unit talks to the system over infrared rather than a cable, it runs on one or two LI-240a lithium batteries - good for roughly 6.5 or 13 hours respectively - or from an AC adapter where a fixed power connection is available. A channel/volume display and monitor-channel selection buttons let each user pick the language or channel they want to hear, and a built-in high-resolution speaker handles playback when headphones are not in use. A 3-pin XLRF input accepts a compatible ATUC gooseneck microphone.
