Audio-Technica AT4047-SV
The AT4047/SV recreates the rich, warm sound of classic F.E.T. studio microphones with thoroughly modern engineering. Its transformer-coupled cardioid design gives vocals and instruments a smooth, full-bodied character that sits beautifully in a mix. The large diaphragm captures detail and body, while low self-noise keeps quiet passages clean.
It handles up to 149 dB SPL, with a 10 dB pad extending that to 159 dB for loud sources. Covering 20 Hz to 18,000 Hz, it flatters vocals, acoustic guitar, and brass alike. It runs on 48V phantom power over a 3-pin XLR output and has become a favorite for adding vintage warmth without vintage unreliability.
