Audio-Technica AT4050ST
The AT4050ST is a stereo studio condenser that captures a realistic, adjustable stereo image from a single body. It combines a cardioid element and a figure-of-eight element in a mid-side configuration, so you can widen or narrow the stereo field to taste. That makes it ideal for drum overheads, acoustic ensembles, choirs, and room ambience where a convincing sense of space matters.
The large-diaphragm elements deliver the detail and low noise the 40-Series is known for. Covering 20 Hz to 18,000 Hz, it runs on 48V phantom power and provides separate outputs for the two elements. The result is professional stereo capture without the alignment fuss of a matched pair.
