AKG WMS420 Instrumental Set Wireless Microphone System
The WMS420 Instrumental Set puts a guitar or bass on the same entry-level UHF platform AKG built for club stages, houses of worship and conference rooms. The PT420 bodypack takes the supplied instrument cable into a locking three-pin mini XLR, and a front-panel gain control lets you match a hot active pickup or a quiet passive one without clipping the transmitter. A noiseless on/off/mute switch means the player can go silent between songs without a thump through the PA.
The SR420 receiver is a half-rack metal unit with space diversity and detachable BNC antennas. It offers both a balanced XLR and an unbalanced 1/4 inch jack output, so it feeds a console input or a stage amp directly. Pilot tone transmission keeps the receiver muted until it sees a matching transmitter, and eight preset compatible channels within the band cover a multi-player stage.
