AKG CU400 Charging Unit

The CU400 is a drop-in charger for AKG WMS420, WMS450 and WMS470 handheld and bodypack transmitters. Because the transmitters carry charging contacts, nobody opens a battery door: the whole transmitter goes in the slot at the end of the night and comes out ready. Two slots take two HT450/HT470 handhelds or two PT450/PT470 packs.

It monitors cell voltage and temperature through the charge and ends the cycle automatically when the batteries are full, rather than trickling indefinitely into a warm pack. Charging current runs 700 to 1400 mA for a 1.5 to 3 hour cycle depending on the cell, and a status LED shows where it is.
