AKG WMS470 Instrumental Set Wireless Microphone System
The WMS470 Instrumental Set takes a guitar, bass or keyboard onto AKG's professional analog UHF platform. The PT470 bodypack accepts the supplied MKG L instrument cable through a locking three-pin mini XLR and handles a 12 dB maximum input level, so an active pickup does not overrun the transmitter. Pilot tone transmission keeps the receiver muted between songs, and a single AA lithium cell runs the pack up to 14 hours.
The SR470 receiver is a half-rack metal chassis with microcontroller-controlled space diversity, balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4 inch outputs, and detachable 50 ohm BNC antennas. Auto Setup and Environment Scan find a clean frequency at load-in, an infrared link pushes it into the transmitter, and Rehearsal mode logs dropouts during soundcheck so you find the dead spot before the show does. 1220 selectable frequencies in 25 kHz steps support up to 24 simultaneous channels.
