AKG SR420 Wireless Diversity Receiver
The SR420 is the receiver half of AKG's WMS420 system: a half-rack metal chassis running antenna-switching space diversity with up to eight preset compatible channels in a band. It is meant for small clubs, houses of worship and conference rooms where the operator wants a channel that works rather than a menu tree. An audio-clip LED and an RF LED on the front tell you whether the problem is level or coverage, and squelch is adjustable for difficult RF environments.
Outputs are a balanced XLR and an unbalanced 1/4 inch jack, so it feeds a console or a powered speaker without an adapter. Two external detachable antennas terminate in standard 50 ohm BNC connectors, which is the part that matters later: when one receiver becomes six, the same chassis accepts remote antennas and a distribution system. A universal switched-mode power supply ships with it.
