AKG P820 Tube Dual-Capsule Tube Condenser Microphone
The P820 Tube pairs a dual one-inch diaphragm capsule with genuine ECC83 dual-triode tube circuitry, delivering the warmth and headroom of a classic tube mic at a project-studio price. An outboard remote control unit selects any of nine polar patterns from omni to figure-eight, so one mic covers solo vocals, ensemble sections, strings, brass, and drum overheads without swapping capsules.
A switchable bass-cut filter kills rumble and footfall noise, and a -20 dB pad raises the maximum SPL to 155 dB for close-miking loud sources. The mic connects to its remote unit on a dedicated 7-pin cable, with a 3-pin XLR audio output feeding your preamp. It ships with a spider shock mount, mic and power cables, and a metal carrying case.
