AKG C518 Clip-On Drum & Percussion Microphone

The C518 is a clip-on cardioid condenser designed to close-mic drums and percussion. Its integrated clamp grips a drum rim so the capsule sits over the head at a consistent distance, capturing a punchy, detailed sound while its cardioid pattern rejects spill from cymbals and neighboring drums.

The gooseneck positions the capsule precisely and stays put through hard playing. The C518 M ships with the MPA V L phantom-power adapter for a wired XLR input; the C518 ML terminates in a mini-XLR for AKG bodypack transmitters. Both use the same rugged clip-on capsule assembly.
