AJA UDC-4K 12G-SDI and HDMI Up/Down/Cross-Converter with Frame Sync

The UDC-4K is AJA's most versatile Mini-Converter: an up, down and cross-converter that moves signals between 4K/UHD and 2K/HD, a frame synchronizer that locks untimed sources to house reference, and a 1x4 12G-SDI distribution amplifier, all in one box up to 4Kp60. It carries 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 inputs, four 12G-SDI outputs and one HDMI 2.0 output, plus SDI and HDMI loop outputs for confidence monitoring or pass-through to the next device.

Scaling runs through AJA's multi-tap polyphase algorithm at 12-bit, with a motion adaptive deinterlacer for interlaced sources and utility frame rate conversion between 59.94 and 50/60. It is HDR aware, passing and optionally overriding SDI VPID and HDMI Infoframe metadata, and handles 16-channel SDI and 8-channel HDMI embedded audio with up to 100 frames of delay and AC-3 and E-AC-3 pass-through. Set it up from the front panel buttons and colour LCD, or over USB-C with AJA's free Mini-Config software for Windows and macOS. Three units fit side by side on a 1RU shelf, and a universal power supply is included.
