AJA FS1 X 1RU Universal Frame
The AJA FS1-X is a 1RU universal frame synchronizer and converter built to align mismatched video standards and manage a growing count of audio channels and formats in post and broadcast. It performs SD and HD up, down, and cross-conversion, aspect ratio conversion, and closed caption and AFD handling, and its automatic reverse telecine cadence detection improves conversions of material that had 3:2 pulldown inserted from cine rates.
Connections span 3G-SDI, Dual Link HD-SDI, HDMI, component, composite, optional SDI fiber, and a reference loop-through, alongside 16-channel AES, 8-channel analog, and 64-channel MADI audio over coax or fiber. An internal 224x224 audio matrix routes every source freely, including 5.1 and 7.1 to stereo mixdowns. The FS1-X runs on 100 to 240 volts AC with dual redundant power supplies, drawing about 55 watts typical.
