AJA FS4 1RU 4-Channel Frame Synchronizer and Converter
The FS4 packs four independent 2K/HD/SD frame synchronizers and converters into a single 1RU frame, each doing the job of a standalone box with up, down, and cross-conversion. Switch to Single Channel Mode and all four processors combine into one 4K/UltraHD path, up-converting HD or SD material to 4K/UltraHD or down-converting 4K/UltraHD to HD, which lets one unit follow a facility from HD today into 4K later.
Audio is a strength: the FS4 offers a 272 x 272 routing matrix across embedded SDI, discrete AES, and MADI over both coax and fiber, so channels can be embedded, disembedded, and remapped freely. Connectivity spans quad 1.5G, dual 3G, and quad 3G over 3G-SDI, with 12G and 6G available through optional BNC and LC fiber SFP modules. Web UI control and GPI triggers handle operation, and dual redundant power supplies keep it running through a failure.
