AJA HA5-Fiber HDMI to 3G-SDI Single-Mode ST Fiber Mini-Converter

The HA5-Fiber takes an HDMI source and sends it as 3G-SDI over single-mode fiber, letting an HDMI signal travel far beyond the reach of a copper cable. It transmits on 1310 nm single-mode fiber through an ST-style connector, carrying video and embedded audio up to 10 km on a single strand. That makes it a practical way to get a laptop, camera, or player feed from a stage or podium back to a control room without running long, lossy HDMI.

The unit accepts HDMI up to 1080p60 with its embedded multichannel audio, and it also provides 2-channel RCA analog inputs when you need to bring in a separate stereo source. Up to eight channels of audio ride along in the fiber output for a single-cable audio and video connection. Configuration is handled over USB with AJA Mini-Config software, and the included DWP-U-R1 universal power supply runs on 100-240V worldwide.
