AJA ROI-HDMI HDMI to 3G-SDI Scan Converter

The ROI-HDMI brings a computer or HDMI source into the SDI video world, converting an HDMI output to baseband 3G-SDI with high quality scaling, aspect, and frame-rate conversion. Its signature feature is Region of Interest scaling: connect the unit over USB to a computer running the free Mini-Config application and you can interactively select any rectangular region of the incoming signal and control exactly how it is scaled to the output resolution. That is ideal for pulling a clean, correctly-sized picture out of a computer raster for broadcast or ProAV use.

The HDMI input accepts formats up to 1920x1200 at 60 Hz and includes a direct loop-through, so an operator can keep a local monitor connected while the signal is extracted to SDI. Audio can come from the 3.5 mm analog input or as up to eight channels of HDMI-embedded audio, selectable in software and embedded into the SDI output. It runs on a 5-20 VDC universal power supply and is covered by AJA's five-year warranty.
