AJA Hi5-Fiber Single-Mode ST Fiber to HDMI Mini-Converter
The Hi5-Fiber is the receiving end of a fiber link, taking a 3G-SDI signal carried over single-mode fiber and converting it to HDMI to drive a monitor or display. It accepts 1310 nm single-mode fiber through an ST-style connector, recovering 3G/HD/SD video that has traveled a long distance from a matching fiber transmitter such as the HA5-Fiber or a FiDO transmitter. This lets you place a display far from the source without the length limits of copper HDMI.
Up to eight channels of embedded audio ride along in the HDMI output for a single-cable audio and video connection, and a pair of RCA outputs provide separate stereo monitoring when needed. Like all AJA Mini-Converters it is small enough to tuck behind a monitor or on a rig, and it ships with a universal power supply that includes international plugs and a locking connector; an optional P-TAP cable allows battery power in the field.
