AJA Hi5-12G 12G-SDI to HDMI 2.0 Mini-Converter
The Hi5-12G converts a single-link 12G-SDI signal to HDMI 2.0, driving a 4K monitor, projector, or display from one BNC cable. It carries UltraHD (3840x2160) and DCI 4K (4096x2160) at high frame rates up to 60p, using two sample interleave (2SI) mapping and 4:4:4, 4:2:2, or 4:2:0 HDMI 2.0 output. It also generates HDR metadata to the HDMI v2.0 and CTA-861-G specifications, supporting HDR10 and HLG so wide-gamut material reaches the display correctly.
The compact converter takes one 12G-SDI input (and steps down through 6G, 3G, and 1.5G-SDI) and provides an HDMI 2.0 output alongside a re-clocked SDI loop-out for feeding a downstream device. Up to eight channels of SDI-embedded audio pass through to the HDMI output, and a pair of RCA outputs allow separate stereo monitoring. The unit draws roughly 11 watts, runs on 5-20 VDC, and ships with a universal power supply with international plugs.
