Allen & Heath ZED-436 Mixer
The ZED-436 is a 4-bus analog mixer built for front-of-house and recording work that needs real channel count without going digital. It carries 32 mono mic/line inputs plus 2 dual-stereo channels (36 inputs total), each mono input fed by Allen & Heath's padless DuoPre preamp design for high headroom and low noise without a pad switch to fumble with mid-show.
Every channel gets a 4-band EQ with 2 swept mid frequencies borrowed from the GL2400 series, 6 aux sends split across pre, post, and pre/post, and access to 4 sub groups plus 2 matrix sections for flexible routing to zones or recording feeds. A configurable USB stereo interface lets the L/R or aux buses feed a DAW directly, and 48V phantom power is switched individually per channel so condenser mics and dynamics share the same rig safely.
