Allen & Heath ZED-18
The ZED-18 is a larger multipurpose analog mixer with ten mono mic/line channels and four stereo channels, sized for bands and venues that need more inputs without moving to a digital desk. The mono channels run Allen & Heath's DuoPre microphone preamps, a two-stage design with a 69 dB gain range that keeps noise low while handling everything from quiet condensers to hot dynamics. MusEQ 3-band equalization with a sweepable midrange sits on every mono channel, with 2-band EQ on the stereo channels.
A 2-in/2-out USB interface records the stereo mix to a computer and returns playback for tracking or streaming. Four aux sends build monitor and effects feeds, XLR main outputs carry insert points for outboard gear, and durable 100mm faders give precise, repeatable control. 48V phantom power switches in for condenser mics, and the rugged chassis is built for the road.
