Allen & Heath ZED-12FX
The ZED-12FX is a multipurpose analog mixer built for bands, houses of worship, and project studios that want real console feel in a portable frame. Six mono channels run Allen & Heath's DuoPre microphone preamps, a two-stage design with a 69 dB gain range that keeps noise low while giving condenser and dynamic mics clean headroom. Three stereo channels handle keyboards, media players, and backing tracks, and every mono channel gets MusEQ 3-band equalization with a sweepable midrange.
A 2-in/2-out USB interface sends the mix straight to a computer for recording and returns playback, while the onboard digital effects engine supplies reverb, delay, and modulation from an internal FX bus. Three aux sends plus the FX bus build monitor and effects mixes, XLR main outputs carry insert points for outboard processing, and durable 100mm faders give precise level control. 48V phantom power feeds condenser mics across the board.
